About Us

The thinking behind Woven Works began in the 90's, but it wasn't until now that I finally had the time, passion and courage to begin bringing quality Turkish towels into NZ. Having been an avid traveller to all parts of Europe and beyond whilst living in the UK, I soon developed an appreciation for fine quality textiles, locally made, with tradition, love and great skill. And of course, they had to have a purpose. 

Fast forward to 2017, and I decided it was time to bring some of those textiles to New Zealand. 

The quality of Turkish cotton, woven close to where its grown, using ancient principles and the experience of multiple generations all working together, drew me to starting the business with towels. Towels also capture the essence of the New Zealand lifestyle - beach-loving, gym-going and with an appreciation of quality.

Turkish towels are compact and light, yet incredibly absorbent, therefore perfect for travelling, the beach, the gym, the school bag - pretty much everywhere!
